History
I started running in January of 2004 to get in shape. I had gained too much weight and felt terrible. I was able to run my first 5K 3 months later. 2 years later and 50 lbs lighter, I have continued to push for greater goals and have run 5 marathons and I am training for an Iron distance triathlon now. Everyday I wake up with a positive attitude towards life, training and my future.

Well with the storm yesterday I didn't get much as far as training done. However. on Wednesday I was back in the pool.

I worked mainly on form on Wednesday. I did get in some extra long sets and completed a 700 meter set in the middle of the workout. I felt real good in the water and worked on keeping my head down and hidden as low as I could. Also I worked on reaching and lengthening my body during the swim. I worked in some sprint sets and would go slow lap fast lap for several sets. AL together I got in 2400 meters. That is the most so far in the pool at one time. I noticed that I got this distance done in 1 hour.

Like I said earlier - there was a snow storm yesterday so I got zip done for a workout.

Today I spent in the gym, I did 20 minutes on the spinning bike and then went for a run on the treadmill. I felt awesome this morning. I kept up my pace on the treadmill and pushed to a 7:45 min/mi for the last part of the run. I got in 3 miles today. I am feeling real good.

Tomorrow I am heading out to the Velo Swap in Denver and can't wait. I probably will not sleep much tonight. I will be reporting on the Velo Swap on Monday so don't miss that report.
