History
I started running in January of 2004 to get in shape. I had gained too much weight and felt terrible. I was able to run my first 5K 3 months later. 2 years later and 50 lbs lighter, I have continued to push for greater goals and have run 5 marathons and I am training for an Iron distance triathlon now. Everyday I wake up with a positive attitude towards life, training and my future.

Oh, Friday is finally here.

Really, there should be more Friday's in the week than just one. Don't you agree?

I missed my daily blog yesterday so I have some catching up to do.

Thursday: Hillwork - 3x800 hill repeats. Done up the back side, eg. the steep side, of Skyline Drive. I felt real good on these repeats and pushed hard. Whenever I slowed down I verbally pushed myself faster up the hill. My last repeat was actually my fastest. I did get in a 1 mile warm up as well. My R knee is hurting a little today, not too bad. I will get some stretching in and ice it tonight.

Friday: Swimming - I flet good in the water this morning but a little out of rhythm. I did Ladder sets this morning. 100, 200, 300, 400, 400, 300, 200, 100. This afternoon I am feeling pretty tired, and I have been coughing a lot. I might have sucked in some pool water this morning. I'll see how I feel tomorrow before going on a run. I am suppose to be doing 12 miles tomorrow but if I'm sick forget about it.

I hopw everyone has a great weekend - I am looking forward to the 28th of Oct in Denver - the Velo Swap is going to be held. Time to find my dream bike.
